Strength + Conditioning Coach
I am Delighted to Announce I am the newly appointed Strength and Conditioning Coach of Namibia Rugby International team.
As the Head Strength and Condition coach I will perform duties which include but are not limited to leading, evaluating and supervising the daily operations of the strength and conditioning program; facilitate comprehensive movement assessments. It will be my responsibility to ensure safe practice and supervision to prevent poor form and injury prevention. In order for Namibia to improve over a period of time my counterparts and I will be designing and implementing periodized strength and conditioning programs that reduce injury, enhance performance, ensure safe equipment usage in order to peak at the correct time. The main emphasis will be placed on implementation, supervision and teaching progressions for resistance training and developing cardiovascular output, speed, plyometric, flexibility and functional movement.
Speed and agility training drills are designed to work all your leg and core muscles, as well as the tendons in your body. It is important to train at a level that is equal to your game intensity to help increase your performance and to minimize injury. Cone drills build leg strength and explosion on their one, but it is your intensity and rep scheme that will change the work load.
